Hi, I'm Emily Shay!
Ever since I was young, I’ve had a deep love for animals. Caring for them and being their companion brings me so much joy. It’s truly where I feel most at home.
I recently graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with my Master’s in Human Resources. With a flexible schedule, I now dedicate my time to doing what I love most: providing dependable, compassionate care to pets of all kinds.
I’ve been serving my community in Fairfield County for over two years and previously worked for a professional dog walking business in New Haven County while living on campus for school. That hands-on experience, paired with a lifetime of personal pet care, has shaped me into the reliable, knowledgeable pet caregiver I am today.
I grew up in a home full of animals including one dog and four cats, and in 2019, my family adopted Abby, a sweet senior Maltese. Today, I have a lovable mutt named Max and a family dog, Brooklyn, a spunky senior Yorkie. I’ve cared for puppies, senior pets, and special needs animals.
I’m pet CPR certified, currently working toward a professional dog training certification, and have experience administering medications including insulin and seizure care for dogs with epilepsy. I’m comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Every animal has a unique personality, and I take the time to understand and care for them individually.
I believe all dogs deserve patience, kindness, and a home away from home when their people are away. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, medication, or just extra love while you’re gone, I’m here to treat them like family.

DOG WALKING
I offer personalized dog walking services to cater to the specific needs and preferences of each dog. Whether it's a leisurely stroll or an energetic walk, I ensure that each dog gets the exercise and outdoor time they need to stay happy and healthy.
30 min: $30.00 | 60 min: $50.00
HIKES
At No Ruff Days, we provide both pack hikes and individual hikes for furry friends. It's an excellent opportunity for your dog to socialize and release their energy.
Includes pick up/drop off and basic clean up.
However, please note that dogs must be friendly with other dogs and have decent recall to join an unleashed pack.
60-75 minutes: $60.00
DROP-IN VISITS
Perfect for our feline friends, senior dogs, or dogs that dont enjoy walks. Services offered are feeding, playtime, letting dogs in the backyard to litter box cleaning. I ensure a stress-free experience for your animals and peace of mind for their owners.

PET SITTING
During vacations or day trips, I offer pet sitting services in your home. With personalized attention and care, I aim to make the experience as close to you being home as possible for the pets, providing peace of mind for pet owners.
